The Los Angeles Lakers have again been eliminated by the Denver Nuggets in the first round of the NBA Playoffs in crushing fashion after losing in five games to the defending champions. They now find themselves heading into the offseason with a lot more questions than answers.

First and foremost is the question mark surrounding superstar LeBron James, who can become a free agent this summer. He could technically leave the Lakers, though after 21 seasons in the NBA, there is a chance that he could retire.

Assuming that he returns for a 22nd season, the Lakers will have to convince him to stay in L.A. by making significant changes to get him to re-sign. That will be easier said than done but Los Angeles has proven to be resourceful in the past and may have enough tools at their disposal to build a contender around LeBron and Anthony Davis.

That may mean making a big trade to try and add a third star to help raise their ceiling and there are a few trade targets that could fit the bill. However, that may only be the beginning of their off-season plans. With that in mind, let's take a look at four offseason moves the Lakers must make to transform their roster.
