NBA Trades: Would the Hawks agree to the deal?

Hunter and Bogdanovic combine to make roughly the same as Porter Jr., but he is the better player of the three and also younger. Although there are injury concerns, questions about his ceiling, and a possible redundancy with Risasher, who has been compared to him, he could make sense paired with all-star Trae Young. That would be one way for the Hawks to retool; instead of trading players such as Hunter, Bogdanovic, and Clint Capela for picks and young prospects, they trade them for better-fitting players.

In addition to getting the best player in the deal, they would also receive a 2028 pick swap from the Nuggets for taking back Nnaji's contract, making it a potentially decent asset. Jokic will be 34 by then, and Jamal Murray will be in his early 30s and possibly still having injury problems. Plus, the Nuggets will have little means of improving their roster around them

The Hawks may not be much better in 2028 but it's an asset worth having. As for whether the deal makes sense for the Hawks, with them not having their own first-round pick in 2025 and 2027 and the San Antonio Spurs also having swap rights in 2026, they don't have many options and this would be an interesting one.
