The NBA offseason is winding down, with training camp set to start in late September but there is still time for a big trade to shake things up. The Los Angeles Lakers have done very little thus far but are expected to make a move to try and improve their roster. They could turn to the Portland Trail Blazers, who are expected to trade either of their two highly sought-after players prior to training camp.

The Blazers appear ready to reset and fully embrace a rebuild, which coincides with the 2024–25 season, with several teams possibly looking to tank ahead of the 2025 NBA Draft. The Orlando Magic, like the Lakers, have been relatively quiet this summer, aside from signing Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (KCP). However, they still have a chance to make a big splash and may also be interested in what the Blazers have to offer.

Their biggest weakness last season was shooting and the Blazers happen to have one of the best shooters in the NBA available. A point guard, no less, which is also a big need for the Magic. That leads us to a 3-team trade involving the Lakers, Magic, and Blazers that could potentially help each franchise. Next, we will examine the trade and then look at the deal from each team's perspective to see if they'd agree to the swap.
