NBA Trades: Philadelphia 76ers

There was no way around it; the Philadelphia 76ers had a terrific offseason. They re-signed rising superstar Tyrese Maxey to a rookie max contract, added a third star in Paul George, got oft-injured superstar Joel Embiid a good backup in Andre Drummond, and filled out their roster around those three players.

That is even without touching the return haul that they got from trading James Harden last season, which included two first-round picks, an unprotected pick swap and a second. Trading one of those picks, in addition to KJ Martin Jr., who they likely re-signed to have enough matching salary in a trade, could net them a decent player.

Martin Jr. is still figuring out his role in the NBA but is a bit further than Golden State Warriors guard Mooses Moody. Moody, despite being a lottery pick in 2021, has yet to carve out a role on their team but is still seen as a talented prospect.

The Warriors might be willing to part with him, with him set to become a restricted free agent if he isn't extended before this season. The 76ers giving up Martin Jr. a future first for Moody and Gui Santos might give them a potential rotation player with significant upside.
