Rockets-Nets-Jazz deal

NBA Trades: Houston Rockets into contention in spicy mock deal with the Nets and Jazz

In the mock deal, the Rockets would land Mikal Bridges, the Nets would add John Collins, the 3rd overall pick in this year's draft, and receive the rights to their 2025 and 2026 firsts back from Houston, while the Jazz would get Dillon Brooks.

The 3-team deal would see the Rockets make a big move to improve their roster by adding a borderline all-star in Bridges to an exciting young core that features Green, Sengun, and Jabari Smith, with him and former all-star Fred VanVleet rounding out their starting five.

The Nets, on the other hand, would make a decision to embrace a rebuild rather than try to chase another star in the trade market. The Rockets' third overall pick actually came from Brooklyn and while the 2024 NBA draft isn't seen as star-studded, the Nets could get a young impact player. Not to mention the rights to their 2025 and 2026 picks, which are currently a pick swap and an unprotected first-round pick.

As for the Jazz, they have a star in Lauri Markkanen who keeps them from bottoming out and landing a high pick, and baring a surprise deal involving him, they may look to get better by tweaking their roster. There are reasons for each team to consider the deal, but would they all agree to it? Let's see, starting with the Jazz.
