NBA Trades: Heat and Sixers land stars in huge, proposed deal with Cavs and Wizards
The proposed four-team blockbuster deal from Pincus' would see eight players and six picks change hands. The deal would see the Heat land Donovan Mitchell and Kyle Kuzma and the Cavs add Tyler Herro, three firsts, and a second rounder.
Additionally, the Sixers would acquire Jimmy Butler, and the Wizards would pick up Paul Reed, Ty Jerome, Nikola Jovic, and two firsts. However, with reports that Mitchell may re-sign with the Cavs, we'll swap him out for Garland. Were this deal to happen, it would send shockwaves around the league, with two stars being dealt as well as two other valuable starters in addition to multiple picks.
There are reasons for each team to consider the trade. The Heat appear to be nearing the end of their run with Butler, who is aging. Meanwhile, the Sixers are in need of a third star to help get them over the hump, the Cavs may be forced to trade their best play because he's unwilling to re-sign, and the Wizards are in the process of rebuilding.
Of course, four-team deals are rare since smaller deals are easier, quicker, and less complicated, which led to questions about whether this trade would even be in the best interest of each franchise. With that in mind, let's see whether each team would agree to Pincus' mock trade, starting with the Cavs.
