NBA Trade Rumors: The Lakers' top trade target hinting at a deal?

Atlanta Hawks star Dejounte Murray is rumored to be available and several teams, including the New York Knicks and the Los Angeles Lakers in particular, are expected to have an interest in him. In fact, Murray recently scrubbed his social media account of any mention of the Hawks, ramping up speculation that he could soon be moved to the Lakers.

Spurs fans know Murray's tendency for puzzling online behavior, with him posting several subliminal messages over his time with the team, leading to a lot of speculation. So far, Murray's time in Atlanta has been rocky at best, with the Hawks acquiring a second All-Star to pair with Trae Young only for them to bow out in the first round of last year's playoffs and be six games below. 500 this season.

If another team makes a strong offer, Atlanta may be inclined to move Murray in an attempt to not only save money but also retool around Young. Of course, Murray deleting mention of the Hawks online could just be a misunderstanding, and he did recently sign a 4-year, $120 million contract extension.

Then again, his being under contract for four more years could dramatically increase his trade value, with a potential team having an All-Star on their books until the middle of the decade. It's definitely something to keep an eye on as we get closer to the NBA trade deadline.
