2nd Pick: San Antonio Spurs- Nikola Topic

Given their struggles at point guard this season, Spurs fans are desperate for their team to select a high-level playmaker in the 2024 NBA Draft. Bleacher Report has them covered and has 6'6 Serbian point guard Nikola Topic mocked to go to San Antonio at number 2. Through his first 10 games of the season in the Adriatic League, Topic is averaging 18.9 points, good efficiency, and 6.8 assists.

While not particularly athletic, he's quick, has a knack for getting to the basket, and has the potential to be a good 3-point shooter off the dribble. Topic would fit well with the Spurs, given their desire to play bigger and more positionless basketball.

At 6'6, his size and court vision would be an immediate help at a position of weakness for San Antonio. That would help 2023 first-overall pick Victor Wembanyama get easier shots than the ones that he's been getting. Especially with his current teammates unable to find him in the post or for alley-oops.

Bleacher Report went as far as to compare him to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, given his creativity as an offensive player. That would certainly make him worthy of being taken with a high draft pick by the Spurs.
