Tier 1) Goat
1) Michael Jordan
With a tier all to his own is arguably the greatest player of all time Michael Jordan. Jordan's accomplishments are nearly unmatched in the modern NBA, from 1980 until now, with him making 14 all-star teams, winning 10 scoring titles in an 11-season stretch, and being an all-NBA first-team selection a staggering 10 times. Of course, there are the championships as well, with him winning six championships, including two three-pointers with the Chicago Bulls.
He did so against tough competition: against Magic Johnson and the Los Angeles Lakers, Clyde Drexler and the Portland Trail Blazers, Charles Barkley and the Phoenix Suns, Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp and the Seattle Supersonics and John Stockton and Karl Malone and the Utah Jazz twice.
Going six for six in the NBA Finals with six Finals MVP's and five league MVPs, it's hard to say that he isn't the best shooting guard ever and he still has a strong case for being the greatest player of all time. While LeBron James is hot on his tail and still going strong in year 22, Jordan has the benefit of having never lost in the Finals and no flaws on his perfect resume.
