Grade the Trade: Orlando conjures up a Banchero co-star in potential deal with Hawks

Grade the Trade: Does the deal make sense for the Orlando Magic?
Orlando's biggest flaw is shooting, which isn't always an easy thing to fix. That being said, by adding Caldwell-Pope, who is a reliable shooter, and potentially Young, the Magic would be much improved in that area.
Trading two firsts, Black and Carter Jr., would be worthwhile if it meant that they could pair Banchero, who is a unique player given his size at 6'10 with his perimeter shot creation, with Young. Young is just 25 years old, young enough for him to be part of the Magic Core with Banchero and Wagner, both just 21 years old.
Although the Magic play in a desirable state, they have often not been players in free agency, with most of their success coming from the draft, whether it be them selecting Shaquille O'Neal, Dwight Howard, or Banchero. However, landing Young would be huge for the Magic, who have historically struggled to keep talent from leaving.
Building around Banchero in year 3 would give them several seasons to try and break through with their core. While that may be hard to do in an Eastern Conference that has the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, and Philadelphia 76ers, vying for a fourth seed would be attainable. That would keep them from potentially having to face all three en route to a possible trip to the Eastern Conference Finals next season.
Beyond next season, with Banchero getting better and better and Young under contract for another season, they could leapfrog one of those teams and make noise. That depends on whether they'd be willing to trade for Young and they likely would be.
