Winner: Philadelphia 76ers

This draft marked the start of a pivotal off season for the Philadelphia 76ers and they got off on the right foot, selecting Duke guard Jared McCain with the 16th pick. Don’t let the painted nails and TikToks fool you, McCain is one of the tougher players in this year's draft.

He was great at doing the little things for Duke, specifically on the defensive end of the floor. He is a great on ball defender and rebounder for his size, as he had 17 games of five or more boards as a 6’2” guard. He brings a level of competitiveness and hustle that Philly needs.

McCain’s best attribute though is his shooting. He has great form and is able to get his shot up quickly and he can spot up, pull up, or move into his shot as well. He took six threes per game and nailed 41 percent of them this past season. Playing next to a dominant post player like Joel Embiid, who sees a lot of double teams, having a guy like McCain open for kick outs is extremely beneficial.

McCain is the perfect depth piece for the 76ers as they try to build a contender for next season. He will know his role and he can develop into one of the better two way guys off the bench in the league.
