The Knicks and Raptors have reportedly agreed on a trade that will send OG Anunoby, Precious Achiuwa, and Malachi Flynn to New York in exchange for R.J. Barrett, Immanuel Quickley, and a second-round draft pick.

The trade is on schedule for both teams, as New York, currently 7th in the Eastern Conference, has been looked at as a buyer on the trade market heading into this year's deadline. The team has goals of making a playoff run, and with a haul of picks and young players at their disposal, it would make sense for them to go after a star player.

Meanwhile, Toronto, 12th in the Eastern Conference with a 12-19 record, was expected to be a seller with Pascal Siakam and Anunoby in the last year of their contracts. Neither player seemed intent on re-signing with the team this summer.

Nonetheless, the trade comes as a surprise, considering we are still over a month away from the trade deadline, and the two teams have been at odds since the Knicks filed a lawsuit against the Raptors back in August.

Here is an analysis of the five biggest winners and losers of the trade and why each side came out of it how they did.
