Paring #2) Anthony Edward and Bam Adebayo.

It could take a while before rising superstar Anthony Edwards hits free agency, but this summer could help inform who his next team might be. Edwards is about to start a 5-year rookie max extension next season that will keep him under contract until at least 2029. That is, of course, if he doesn't force his way off the Minnesota Timberwolves before then.

During the 2023 World Cup, Edwards went out of his way to praise Miami Heat coach Eric Spoelstra as well as Heat Culture. He will also be playing with Heat star Bam Adebayo this summer, giving the Heat a chance to further impress Edwards. That may not pay off in the near future, but it couldn't in the long run if he were to ever become a disgruntled star and demand a trade.

The Heat are already a destination due to the attractiveness of playing in Miami, but they may be near the top of his list if he ever wanted to leave Minnesota. After all, they have lured other stars to South Beach, so who's to say that Edwards couldn't be the next one down the road?
