1) Trae Young

Trae Young has repeatedly stated that he likes playing in Atlanta and wants to make a name for himself there. However, the Hawks are in the midst of a rebuild and Young has also made it known that he wants to win. So how patient is he willing to be?

Young has also been the subject of trade rumors this offseason, but he reportedly garnered little interest around the league. Young is one of the better scorers and playmakers in the NBA and upped his efficiency this past season after a down shooting year in 2023 (upped his three-point shooting percentage from 33.5 to 37.3). His shooting range opens up the floor for other players to slash and attack and his playmaking creates good looks for others while keeping the offense flowing.

Young has also never averaged lower than eight assists per game for his career and thrives out of the pick-and-roll. Contending teams would benefit from his playstyle and if the Hawks start slow and rumblings start again about Young not being happy, expect the point guard to be at the top of many team’s lists at the trade deadline.
