There are countless stars in the NBA but there are always players in the league who are waiting to blossom, becoming the best versions of themselves that they can possibly be. Certain aspects can do the trick, such as a change of scenery or simply gaining more experience with each year they play professional basketball.

It could also be less competition for minutes that sparks the growth in the vast amount of young talent. Every year, there are always players who are itching to show off their skills or the work they put in during the offseason. A brand new season presents a ton of opportunity for any player in the NBA. With that being said, here are five NBA stars who are primed to break out in the 2024–2025 season.

5) Jonathan Kuminga

The Golden State Warriors are not just hoping but praying that Jonathan Kuminga steps it up in his age 22 season. With Stephen Curry entering his thirteenth year in the NBA at the age of 36, there is a lot of pressure on the superstar to even take this new version of the Warriors to the playoffs.

Klay Thompson is gone, Draymond Green is not only at the tail end of his career but has never really taken on a heavy load when it comes to the offensive end, and fans truly don't know which version of Andrew Wiggins they are going to get. Kuminga already took a massive leap in production last season when he took his 9.9 points per game in 2023 all the way to 16.1 points per game.

It is very clear and evident that he possesses a ton of talent, leading us to believe that he could be in store for a massive year in 2025. As long as he continues on this same path, Jonathan Kuminga could easily be regarded as the second-best scoring option for the Warriors.
