2) Markelle Fultz

Former number one overall pick Markelle Fultz remains unsigned entering the third month of free agency and it's unclear whether he will be signed. Fultz last played for the Orlando Magic but they don't seem likely to bring him back, instead possibly looking to upgrade at point guard via trade before or during next season.

Worse still for Fultz is that most teams already have full rosters and the ones that don't are either saving an open roster to potentially sign a player midseason to use for G-League call-ups. Or because signing another player would put them above the second apron.

There also aren't any starting point guard jobs apparently left and Fultz's injury history and shaky shooting probably don't make sense to bring in as a backup. Things can change and players get injured, so it's entirely possible that he is brought in by a team in need of playmaking during the regular season but it's doubtful that he will get signed before then.

If he somehow doesn't end up getting signed at all during the summer or next season, then it may mark the end of Fultz' NBA career after it seemed as though he would be a star when he was selected first overall in 2017. Now, he is waiting for a call from an NBA team.
