Markelle Fultz

Circling back to the point guard position, Markelle Fultz could be a justifiable target for teams seeking another ball-handler off the bench.

After the best year of his career in 2022-23, starting all 60 games he appeared in, Fultz took a major step back this past season, primarily coming off the bench and seeing his minutes cut. That explains why he remains unsigned, as his value is quite low, but perhaps this could be an opportunity for him to take a "prove-it deal" in an attempt to raise his individual value.

In addition to providing facilitating off the bench, the guard can serve as another perimeter defender on any team hunting for more defense. At 6-foot-4, 209 pounds, Fultz has good size and can guard a handful of different positions, which would strengthen any team's second unit.

The biggest concern with Fultz is injuries, as he's played fewer than 20 contests in four of his seven NBA seasons. He has played in a combined 104 games over the past two seasons, which is a positive sign that Fultz is getting healthy after dealing with countless injuries over the years. Still, teams might be skeptical about handing him a deal due to the history.

Any of these five names could make for a nice last-minute addition.
