2) Dallas Mavericks

If the Warriors don't bring him back, the Mavericks would be in the perfect spot. It was rumored that Dallas will be in the running for the two-way sharpshooter during the offseason, giving their roster depth and being on the edge.

Playing with two dominant shot creators and playmakers, Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, would give Thompson the ability to run off screens and catch and shoot. He could really excel as the third option for a championship contender for years to come on the back end of his NBA career.

1) Golden State Warriors

In a perfect world, Klay Thompson will retire as a Golden State Warrior. There's no doubt that this team is best suited for him. But at the end of the day, the NBA is a business, as said by head coach Steve Kerr.

There is mutual interest between the 34-year-old and the organization, of course, and whether a deal can be made or not will ultimately come down to years and pay. Steph and Draymond will be together for at least two more years and I expect Klay to be there right with them.
