The NBA offseason has usually provided several 'twists and turns', in which player movement often shifts the balance of power in the NBA. These NBA-altering trades, signings, and draft selections can determine the incoming season predictions and the league's landscape.

Moves like Kevin Durant to Golden State, LeBron James to the Heat, the Lakers acquisition of Anthony Davis, and Boston retooling with Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday all had this impact.
