21 up-for-grabs players who may play a starring role in NBA trade deadline rumors

Dennis Schroder, Brooklyn Nets
Back to Brooklyn. If they do indeed have a firesale during the season and are willing to take offers on most of their roster, Dennis Schroder will command some interest. The guard came over to Brooklyn just before the 2024 Trade Deadline, and as he nears 31 years old, there's a chance the Nets aim to stock up on some form of assets by moving him elsewhere.
Between Toronto and Brooklyn, Schroder had one of his best years in recent memory last season by averaging 14 points, 6.1 assists and three rebounds per game while shooting 37.5 percent from long distance. With numbers like that, there's no doubt a contender could use Schroder as a reserve floor general to provide more scoring, facilitating and 3-point shooting in the second unit.
He'll make $13 million in 2024-25, an interesting figure that could have implications on his market via trade. Although he's a solid point guard, some might not be willing to pay that much, at least not right away. If Schroder starts the year with Brooklyn and builds off his success from last season, perhaps a team would be more willing to offer what it takes to get him before the NBA Trade Deadline.
Schroder is not the first or last Brooklyn Net on this list.
