21 up-for-grabs players who may play a starring role in NBA trade deadline rumors

Trae Young, Atlanta Hawks
The Atlanta Hawks have gone through some significant changes this offseason, including trading key cog Dejounte Murray and taking Zaccharie Risacher with the first overall pick in the draft. With the top pick in town, many are of the opinion that the team should hit the reset button and start from scratch, which would involve moving star guard Trae Young, the face of the franchise, elsewhere.
Young has his flaws, but there's no doubt that he's a franchise guard. He's one of the best playmaking guards in the business, and he's capable of putting up 25-plus points on any given night. For a team in the market for a star guard or a complementary piece to their current star, Young might be their best bet unless another name pops up out of the blue before the trade deadline.
Adding the 25-year-old would not be cheap, as he's making $43 million this season and $46 million next year before holding a $49 million player option the following year, but that's typically the going rate for multi-time All-Star these days. Everything ultimately hinges on what direction the Hawks plan to go in over these next few months.
