21 up-for-grabs players who may play a starring role in NBA trade deadline rumors

Clint Capela, Atlanta Hawks
Veteran league insider Marc Stein (subscription required) reported that the Atlanta Hawks have been trying to trade big man Clint Capela for over a year now. Obviously, they've been unsuccessful to this point in relocating the center, but his name will surely show up in headlines within the rumor mill in the next few months.
For teams needing size and a rim protector, Capela could be their guy. The 6-foot-10 30-year-old has averaged 1.5 blocks per game for his career, protecting the hoop quite well. The prominent reason he may still be a Hawk is that he's a non-shooter, having tried just five triples in 10 years. That archetype of big man is becoming a thing of the past in today's NBA due to the importance of floor spacing.
Capela's salary would also be tough to digest for plenty of teams, as he's hauling in $22.3 million this coming season. With the center set to hit free agency at the end of the season, perhaps the thought of that deal expiring sooner could make adding Capela an easier sell. Teams looking for depth in the frontcourt should be keeping an eye on the center, who Atlanta would seemingly love to trade.
