21 up-for-grabs players who may play a starring role in NBA trade deadline rumors

Malik Beasley, Detroit Pistons
After a strong year with the Milwaukee Bucks last season, Malik Beasley ended up signing a one-year deal with the Detroit Pistons. Given Detroit's current rebuilding timeline and surplus of guards on the roster heading into the new season, it feels like there's a good chance Beasley gets dangled in trade talks leading up to the deadline as the Pistons stockpile assets.
Beasley would fit on just about every contender. His greatest attribute is his perimeter shot, and he's coming off a year where he shot a career-best 41.3 percent from downtown, making him all the more desirable for teams who need outside shooting. He could adequately be a floor spacer for any team's star players, especially those who love to attack the hoop like Giannis Antetokounmpo last season.
Set to make $6 million, Beasley is on a relatively affordable deal. If a contender is truly struggling to hit shots from deep throughout the regular season, it would not be surprising if they swiftly called Detroit to inquire about Beasley's trade availability. Unless the Pistons hold him in the highest of regards, it likely won't force a team to break the bank to pry him away from Detroit in trade.
It'd be pretty surprising if Malik Beasley lasted the entire 2024-25 season with the Detroit Pistons.
