7) Tracy McGrady and Tim Duncan

Hall of Famers Tim Duncan and Tracy McGrady were nearly teammates on the Orlando Magic when Duncan almost signed there back in 2000. Had it not been for then-Magic coach Doc Rivers, who was rumored to have unintentionally convinced him to do otherwise, Duncan might not have stayed in San Antonio and led the Spurs to five championships.

Ironically, McGrady and Duncan nearly won a championship together in 2013 against the Miami Heat. T-Mac was signed by the Spurs for the playoffs during the final week of the regular season and played six games during their run to the NBA Finals. Had it not been for Ray Allen's shot in Game 6 of the Finals, they would both have a ring to show for that season. Instead, that season was undoubtedly a major disappointment.

Of course, had they played together during their prime's, Duncan and McGrady could have potentially won several titles. Nevertheless, while they were teammates, they never actually shared the floor together, with McGrady relegated to playing garage minutes during his time with the Spurs.

Still, they were on the same team at the same time for a brief but memorable stint, and it would have been cool to see these two all-time greats linked together as NBA champions. No matter what, both players still had outstanding careers.
