10) Utah Jazz- Matas Buzelis
The Utah Jazz don't seem to have much of an identity as they toggle between a full rebuild and building around star Lauri Markkanen. They finished well below .500 in 2023–24 but only 12th in the Western Conference, giving them a chance to improve enough this summer to make the play-in tournament. That may start with the draft and while they may not be able to find a star with the 10th pick, they can find a future starter there with Matas Buzelis, who is one of the most talented and versatile players in his draft class.
Then again, he is also one of the more polarizing players. Buzelis is a 6'10 wing who can create for himself and others off the dribble, rebound, and defend, even racking up an impressive amount of blocks as a rim protector. While that is all well and good, there are concerns about his shot, which may make or break his career.
If he can become a good three-point shooter, then his value goes way up. On the other hand, if he can't, then he might struggle to find a role with him not being able to space the floor while also needing the ball in his hands to be effective on offense.
Playing with better players who are each sure to have the ball significantly more than he does would increase the need for him to develop that shot sooner rather than later. If that turns out to be the case, then the Jazz would have a steal with the 10th pick in the draft.
