Hawks Resolution: Tear the team down and start a rebuild.

Atlanta needs… to bottom out and start over. The Hawks are 13-19 this season and have not won more than 43 games in a season throughout the entire Trae Young era. They tried to make a splash last year by acquiring Dejounte Murray (a trade that was questionable at the time) and it certainly has not worked out.

The Hawks continue to be in NBA purgatory. It is tough to start that tear down process this season as the Hawks are nowhere near as pitiful as some of the other Eastern Conference bottom feeders and likely cannot secure a top three pick in the upcoming draft.

With that being said, it is never too early to start discussing trades involving Murray (27), Bogdan Bogdanovic (31), and Clint Capela (29). Even Young, the 25-year-old undersized star should not be off-limits, but the Hawks also cannot be selling low on him.

Getting younger across the board should be a priority for Atlanta since they are not competing in the Eastern Conference this season. A specific emphasis on developing 22-year-old Jalen Johnson and 23-year-old Onyeka Okungwu to be the frontcourt of the future also makes sense.
