NBA Trades: Would the San Antonio Spurs agree to the trade?

The hypothetical blockbuster trade would see the Spurs trade Devin Vassell, Keldon Johnson, and three first-round picks in return for Giannis. That would be a lot to give up, but the upside could well be worth it.

San Antonio will lose a lot of their flexibility, but they would boast one of the best starting fives in the NBA with Giannis joining De'Aaron Fox, Stephon Castle, Harrison Barnes, and Wembanyama in the starting lineup.

They also wouldn't be gutted as far as depth, with them potentially bringing back Chris Paul to play backup point guard. They would also still have Julian Champagnie and Jeremy Sochan. They would also have the 14th overall pick in this year's draft.

That would undoubtedly establish them as a formidable team, capable of challenging teams in the Western Conference. It would be a fascinating move by the Spurs, considering that it isn't their style, at least historically.

However, they deviated from tradition by making a significant trade for Fox this season, indicating their readiness to compete for a championship as soon as possible. If Giannis is available, wants to play in San Antonio, and Castle can be kept out of the trade, they will likely agree to the trade.
