Few teams have as big of a question mark as the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers. The Warriors have reloaded, adding Buddy Hield, who has played well in the preseason, Kyle Anderson, and De'Anthony Milton, but that probably won't get them back to the postseason.

On the other hand, the Clippers saw their second-best player leave in free agency and are awaiting word on whether their best player will be ready to start the season. That puts their chances of making the playoffs this season in doubt.

With both teams facing crucial seasons and uncertain futures, an early-season trade might help both out in different ways. Recently, Bleacher Reports' Grant Hughes proposed the fascinating framework of a deal involving both teams. A deal that would help the Warriors out in the short term and the Clippers out in the long term.

That being said, it is unclear whether either team would agree to such a deal. Especially in the lead-up to the regular season. Then again, the New York Knicks and Minnesota Timberwolves pulled off a major trade very close to the beginning of training camp. Next up, we'll take a look at the potential deal and then whether each team—the Warriors and Clippers—would agree to the trade.
