NBA Trades: Would the Hawks agree to the deal?

Atlanta has all the incentive in the world to want to do this deal. After all, they are stuck between not being able to tank and trying but still being bad enough to miss the playoffs. There is also the possibility that they may look to move Young again at the trade deadline with him having just two seasons remaining on his contract.

As a result, having control of their own pick would be huge and allow them to potentially bottom out, even if for one season, to maximize their lottery odds. Doing so would give them a crack at back-to-back first overall picks.

While many don't consider Risasher to be a potential superstar, projected first overall pick Cooper Flagg could be. The Hawks would be in a position to select first if they were to convince the Spurs to trade them back their own first.

Dangling the Kings and Lakers first-round picks is at least a reasonable offer since both the Kings and Lakers may not make the playoffs this season. Atlanta holding on to those picks and hopefully adding two talented young players would be a decent backup option, but reacquiring their pick would be a no-brainer if the opportunity presents itself.
