2) Giannis Antetokounmpo's time in Milwaukee may come to an abrupt end

After 12 long years, it's time. It was fun while it lasted for Milwaukee, but Giannis finally appears ready to move on. In life, some things don't last forever, and that's simply the case here. Antetokounmpo has poured his all into the Bucks, but the efforts have reciprocated just one championship for the Greek Freak.

Despite that, he's remained loyal to the franchise for his entire career...until now. For the first time ever, the possibility of an Antetokounmpo trade looms large as a genuine possibility.

Different reports have suggested Antetokounmpo's desires for a new team, but Bucks' management remains optimistic in retaining Giannis. The two sides will meet in the near future to discuss the roster and his status with the team. However, all signs point to a new beginning elsewhere. With Damian Lillard's recent torn Achilles, his timetable for the next few seasons is murky, leaving the Greek Freak questioning what's left for him in Milwaukee. Ultimately, trading Giannis might be best for all parties.

The Bucks don't fully control its own first round picks until 2031, making Giannis the team's biggest trade chip. Moving Antetokounmpo could ensure Milwaukee of a bright future, or else they risk falling into the depths of the lottery as a bottom-feeding team for years.

1) Kevin Durant is inevitable to be traded

Our last star, Kevin Durant. After failed trade attempts of Durant, namely the infamous Warriors trade nixed by Durant this season, it appears the team will work with Durant on a possible trade this offseason, if needed.

It's no secret that Bradley Beal's contract has become untradeable (and unwanted), as the failed 'Big 3' of Devin Booker, Durant, and Beal has destroyed the Suns' future. Yet, Phoenix is reluctant to initiate a rebuild. With no intentions of trading Booker, that leaves Durant as the fall guy.

With the Suns so deep in the second apron of the luxury tax (over $25 million), the team must resort to extreme measures to fix their watered-down roster. Relying on three max contracts and minimum contracts nearly everywhere else to fill the team out, the options are minimal for improvement. After three straight head coach firings and a front office shift, the Suns are hoping for better fortunes.

Durant, alongside Antetokounmpo, will be the primary storylines to watch this offseason as top trade candidates. With small market teams emerging as top contenders, and no repeat champion since KD-led Warriors in 2017 and 2018, the aging superstar presents an opportunity for teams to shoot for one last glimmer of hope at a championship chase.

2025's NBA offseason appears to be one of the most exciting in years. An unprecented number of stars could be on the move, combined with new, young talent entering the league via the NBA Draft. Expect some number of these stars in new uniforms next season, hoping to raise a Larry O'Brien!
