The Detroit Pistons are currently locked into a contract dispute with star Jalen Duren, but a proposed trade would give them a way out. Bleacher Report just proposed an intriguing trade that would send Duren to the Milwaukee Bucks.
In exchange, the Bucks would send out Myles Turner, Ryan Rollins, and a 2031 unprotected first-round pick. That's an intriguing proposed trade that could give the Pistons an out in the increasingly ugly Duren saga.
Turner is coming off a bad season and is on a questionable contract, but little more than a year ago, he was the starting center on an NBA Finals team.

Turner would still be paid less than what Duren is asking. Better yet, Turner would provide a floor spacing element that Duren doesn't. Additionally, Green is an underrated player who ranks among the best shooters in the NBA.
Factor in a 2031 first, and there is a lot to like for the Pistons. For the Bucks, they'd be getting off Turner's contract, upgrading at center, and getting younger in one fell swoop.
It wouldn't be a home run move, but it could set the table for them to rebuild quicker. A 31-year-old Turner won't do much for Milwaukee, but a 22-year-old Duren could.
Would the Detroit Pistons and Bucks agree to a Jalen Duren trade?
The Pistons might strongly consider such an offer given how contract negotiations with Duren are going. If Duren is really considering taking the qualifying offer, then the Pistons might be forced to consider a sign-and-trade.
This would be a better offer than most, considering it would give them an experienced starting center, a starting-caliber guard, and a first-round pick for their trouble. Better yet, their combined salary would be just $36.6 million, which is roughly what the Pistons are offering Duren annually.
He, of course, wants far more than that, and if the Bucks are willing to pay him closer to at least $40 million annually, then it might make sense for both teams.
It would also potentially make sense for Duren, who is currently stuck between a rock and a hard place and in need of another team to swoop in and give him another option besides the qualifying offer. Therefore, the proposed trade makes sense for all sides.
