The Golden State Warriors are preparing for what could be a huge early-season game against the Denver Nuggets but will Warriors star Steph Curry play tonight?

The Warriors will tip off their first NBA Cup qualifying game against a team they already beat but may be shorthanded as they try to hand the Nuggets a home loss. The Warriors started the season strong but suffered a couple of recent ugly losses and really need this game against the Nuggets. However, they may have to do so without Curry.

Will Stephen Curry play against the Denver Nuggets?

Currently Curry is listed as out of the lineup due to him being under the weather with an illness. That is a huge potential blow to the Warriors and could hurt the Warriors' chances of stealing a win on the road.

Curry dropped 42 points and helped the Golden State Warriors eke out a win against Denver last month, but they are likely licking their chops at the possibility of getting an easy win against the Warriors this time around.

Joining Curry on the injury report is Draymond Green. He is listed as probable as he recovers from a rib injury. Jimmy Butler also appears on the Warriors' injury report as questionable with a back issue.

For the Warriors to have a chance against the Nuggets' they absolutely need Butler and Green to play, giving them a shot to knock off Denver in Denver. That would be a huge win for the Dubs. Next, we will take a look at who will be out for the Nuggets.

Denver Nuggets' full injury report against the Golden State Warriors

Unlike the Warriors, the Nuggets are relatively healthy heading into their game against the Warriors. Only Zeke Nnaji appears on the injury report, and he is listed as probable, although he isn't a rotation player, so he won't swing the game either way.

The Nuggets having their rotation intact gives them a big advantage against Golden State. After all, the Warriors could be without both Curry and Butler and will face an uphill battle playing on the road in a big NBA Cup qualifying game.

All told, Curry won't suit up against the Nuggets. Without their best player in the lineup, the Warriors risk facing a double loss in both the regular season standings and the NBA Cup standings.
