The NBA is a family business with even more second-generation players entering the league, including the sons of former stars.

5) Alijah Arenas-son of Gilbert Arenas

It's almost hard to believe that former NBA star Gilbert Arenas has a son old enough to be drafted but he does-- well almost. Alijah Arenas is 18 years old and a five-star recruit in the 2026 high school class.

Five-star high school recruits often end up as lottery picks, and Alijah Arenas definitely has a lot of potential given his skill set. He is a talented athlete and a fast guard like his father with offensive skill in spades. All of that sounds like his old man, who was known as Agent Zero and was at one point one of the best offensive players in the NBA during the 2000s.

In fact, over a three-season span, he averaged 27.5 points a game including dropping 60 in a game. His style as an attacker off the dribble and bomber from three set the tone for how the game is played today.

His career quickly flamed out thanks to injuries and some baffling decisions, including bringing weapons into the locker room. At least the elder Arenas can tell his son how not to do things.

Then again, he was a three-time All-Star after being selected in the second round, and that is a rarity.
Alijah Arenas may not have the same path to the NBA with him potentially being a high lottery pick, but we'll have to wait and see until the 2026 NBA Draft.
