Hello all. My name is Tyrone Bowman. When I was a teenager I fell in love with Tim Duncan at Wake Forest University. Seeing his hard work and determination pay off as the No. 1 pick during the 1998 NBA Draft had me especially giddy he landed with the San Antonio Spurs. An NBA fan heightened in the postseason watching the Chicago Bulls, Indiana Pacers and Utah Jazz to name a few slugging it out was captivating. Then San Antonio took it to a new level right after taking Duncan adding him to the likes of David Robinson, Steve Kerr, Mario Ellie, Brent Barry, Avery Johnson, Sean Elliott and Malik Rose. My love and appreciation for the Spurs has grown with each day. Their willingness to stick with Gregg Popovich and R.C. Buford not only has been smart it's kept the Alamo City machine rolling. Not to beat a dead horse with my adulation and admiration for San Antonio, let me quickly tell you about myself. I was schooled in public and private education K thru 12. Then went to Santa Rosa Junior College for a few years before earning a B.A. in Journalism at Sacramento State University in 2009. Minored in English I took many poetry and Shakespeare classes my last semesters at Sac State. I'm not the typical journalist in that respect because I not only like to carry on a conversation with readers, I like to throw in wit, humor and rhymes on the occasion. I've written for a variety of places online and some in print. Before coming aboard Hoopshabit where I write Spurs and only Spurs news I was a college basketball, college football, MLB and tennis writer at Sportschatplace.com. I love to talk everything San Antonio and all things sports so don't hesitate to comment on any of my articles or chime in on dialogue. Look forward to channeling your interests and mind!
