1) Oklahoma City Thunder adds Giannis in possible blockbuster
The Oklahoma City Thunder have more picks than any other team and could use them to bully their way into the Giannis sweepstakes. Even so, that is a risky proposition with them having the best record in the NBA this season without him.
They are also seemingly set up to be a potential dynasty if they can manage to win a championship this season. Be that as it may, no one on this team projects to be anywhere near as good as Giannis is right now aside from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Moreover, if the Thunder come up short in this year's playoffs, they likely would have to take a hard look at making a big move to acquire him.
Even if they aren't fully sold that he'd make them significantly better than they are now, there is something to be said about keeping him away from another team out west. Winning the West could be much harder with him playing for the Houston Rockets or the San Antonio Spurs.
As far as potential trade, they would almost certainly refuse to give up Chet Holmgren in a deal but will likely have to part with Lu Dort, Isaiah Hartenstein, and Jalen Williams, as well as at least three first-round picks. Getting a future all-star, two starters, and three firsts would be a strong return for Giannis for the Bucks and a reasonable gamble for the Thunder.
Overall, there will be several serious contenders to land Giannis this summer. However, it will depend largely on what the Bucks want for their best player and where he wants to play next season.
