The Washington Wizards are perhaps the team that is most desperate for a star, and while they won't land the top pick in the scenario, they would still get a potential game changer.

The Wizards, despite being awful, still have potential building blocks, including a resurgent Jordan Poole, who has played surprisingly well this season, in addition to 2023 and 2024 lottery picks Bilal Coulibaly and Alex Sarr.

Adding Rutgers guard Dylan Harper to the mix could be just what the Wizards need to get back on track. Harper possesses elite playmaking ability thanks to his size and athleticism. He is a 6-6 guard who can easily create for himself and teammates in the half court.

He is terrific at getting into the paint by using crossovers and quick bursts to get to the rim and is a nifty finisher at the rim where his height is also an asset. Another intriguing part of his game is his pull-up jumper.

While he is only shooting 33.3% from three on 5.2 3-point attempts, which isn't that impressive, he takes and makes a lot of pull-up threes. If that is a part of his game in the NBA, then he will be difficult to stop with smaller guards unable to challenge that shot or fight around screens to contest. He alone wouldn't get the Wizards back into contention, but he could be a big part of a potential turnaround.
