NBA Trades: The 76ers add DeRozan and Siakam in this proposed 3-way deal with the Raptors and Bulls.

Under the proposed deal, the Sixers would land both DeMar DeRozan and Pascal Siakam, while the Bulls would receive Marcus Morris, Nic Batum, and a first-round pick (via the Clippers) from the Sixers. As for Toronto, they’d add Tobias Harris, and two firsts (one each from Philadelphia and LA).

This trade attempts to accommodate each team; the Sixers are hoping to find another star after trading their second-best player. The Raptors have to decide whether to rebuild with Siakam able to potentially leave in free agency after this season and they are likely looking to see what they can get for him. Meanwhile, the Bulls could look to mix things up by moving on from DeRozan after failing to agree to an extension.

In theory, the hypothetical deal would make sense for each team, with the Sixers reloading around MVP Joel Embiid. Additionally, Chicago may be willing to trade DeRozan, who may leave free agency for assets, while the Raptors could get back multiple picks for their top player.

Despite that, it’s not a guarantee that each team says yes and the proposed deal couldn’t happen until December 31st, with Morris and Batum having just been traded. That being said, we’ll take a look at whether the Sixers would agree to the trade.
