Fantasy Basketball: 4 Fast risers that every owner must consider adding

Fantasy Basketball: Zach Collins
Fresh off a strong preseason performance where he led the Spurs in assists, center Zach Collins has established himself as a useful starter. With the Spurs starting with a lineup that doesn’t feature a normal point guard, Collins has become a surprisingly big part of their starting lineup thanks to his court vision.
He often finds cutters from the top of the free throw line, racking up a high number of assists as a result. In the Spurs overtime win against the Rockets, he had eight dimes. For fantasy owners who could use help in that category, he’d be a smart pick-up. Better yet, he can be slotted in at either center or power forward, allowing owners to tinker with their lineups and fit him in wherever he’s needed.
In addition to his playmaking, he’s a decent rebounder, and while he isn’t a defensive stopper, he has a tendency to collect blocks and a decent number of steals. Factor in that he shot 37.4% from three on decent volume, and Collins could check several boxes in head-to-head Fantasy Leagues.
Ironically, he is available in nearly 80% of leagues, though that is up by nearly 10%, according to ESPN, as fantasy owners begin to catch on to his hidden value.
