Fantasy Basketball: Cam Thomas

Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas has had a blistering start to the 2023–24 season, scoring 30 points and 36 points, respectively, in the team’s first two games of the year. While he likely won’t be able to keep up that scoring level, it may get him a permanent spot in the starting lineup. There, he could provide the Nets and Fantasy owners with efficient scoring.

While he hasn’t shot the ball well from three to start the season, he shot 38.3% from three last season. Were he to start, he could knock down at least two threes per game. He’s even shown an improved ability to draw free throws, hitting 81.3% of his 16 attempts over his first two games.

While Thomas likely won’t provide much in terms of rebounds, blocks, and steals, he should be a nice pickup mainly for his offensive pop. Considering that Thomas is only on 55% of ESPN Fantasy Basketball rosters as of October 29th, there is a decent chance he’s still available in your league. If you have an open roster spot and he’s available, he could prove to be a worthwhile pickup.
