Jaylen Brown is expected to sign the biggest contract in NBA history soon, worth up to $304 million. Is he worth that much money? Looking at Boston’s game 7 loss against Miami, where he shot 34.8% from the field, 1/9 from three, and turned the ball over eight times, definitely not. With that being said, he did just have the best season of his career and made the All-NBA Second Team in 2022–2023.

Brown averaged 26.6 PPG, 6.9 RPG, and 3.5 APG on 49.1% shooting (all of which were career highs) and showed flashes of being a top 10 player in the NBA. He is likely only this high in the pecking order because of his availability, something that many of the other superstar wings in the league do not possess, but sometimes availability is the best ability.

Regardless, the Celtics should be a top-3 seed in the East again, and Jaylen Brown will be a big reason why, especially after the Celtics decided to trade long-time Celtic Marcus Smart to Memphis.
