#5: Seth Curry, Dallas Mavericks

At 32, Seth Curry might not be in the prime of his career, but that doesn’t mean he can’t still fill an important role for the Mavericks. Although he saw his minutes slashed last season for the Nets, most of that can be chalked up to the massive organizational instability of the team, not due to him losing that much of a step.

Even without much playing time, Curry was still doing what he’s always done best: raining deep bombs on opposing defenses. On 3.8 three-pointers per game, Curry striped forty percent of his long shots, a valuable contribution that any team would’ve loved to snag this offseason.

Dallas has made a handful of other impactful moves this offseason, including snagging Richaun Holmes from the Sacramento Kings and orchestrating a sign-and-trade for Grant Williams, while also retaining star guard Kyrie Irving. Thus, Curry probably won’t start for the team.

However, you still ought to lookout for his long bombs off the bench, where he can fit right into the team concepts of spacing the floor for the all-star guards. In that role, Curry could stabilize the Dallas bench and help them get back to the playoffs next season.
