Shooting Guard #2: Keyonte George, Baylor

For the first half of the season, it looked like Keyonte George would generate enough noise to make some teams pause about choosing between him and Scoot Henderson. He was one of Baylor’s most dangerous weapons, scorching the nets and making plays for himself and others.

Sadly, a sprained ankle put a cap on his capabilities and hurt his efficiency for the rest of the year. That downturn in his game did contribute to a step back from a stock perspective, but if teams choose to discount plays like this on behalf of a small injury, that’s their own fault.

In the right situation, whether that is Utah, Dallas, or Orlando, George could both thrive as an off-ball sniper and create good offense for their team in other situations. It may take a bit longer than expected, but if he can get back to playing as he did in the fall and winter, George could end up being a steal in the lottery.
