Knicks trade target #3: OG Anunoby

There isn’t a single team in the NBA that doesn’t have Anunoby on their target list for this summer. That probably makes you wonder why the Raptors would even consider trading him, and the truth is, there is no clear reason why they would. At the same time, if a team throws a huge offer at him which is very possible, it would be hard to pass up.

The Knicks are a team with the assets to get a deal done, and they have the means too. An elite three-and-d player is essential to building a championship contender, which New York expects to become in the next few years.

With a larger role, there’s even a possibility that Anunoby becomes a star-level player. Acting as a spot-up shooter most of the time in Toronto’s offense certainly hasn’t made it easy for him to shine, but there have been games where Anunoby shows promise as a playmaker and shot-creator.

Additionally, Anunoby would fit the timeline of Brunson and Randle at only 25 years old. Regardless of his ceiling, Anunoby would be an ideal addition to the Knicks roster who could be an essential piece for years to come in New York.
