The NBA postseason is in full swing, but half of the league’s teams and fan bases are already looking towards the summer. That means they’re also looking at disgruntled stars across the sport, wondering if they will be dealt.

This time of year, it feels like there are unhappy stars to be found anywhere you look. Whether they are publicly upset or surrounded by rumors of discontent, they’re around. Some are even assumed to be displeased even when they state how they’re not– see Luka Doncic.

More fuel was thrown on the fire days before the playoffs began, courtesy of a piece from The Ringer. In the article, Kevin O’Connor reported that the Atlanta Hawks front office had the “green light” to consider all possibilities for the offseason, including trading Trae Young.

Which disgruntled NBA stars could be shipped off to a new franchise during the summer as they search for greener grass?

The Hawks made it out of the play-in tournament and into the proper postseason, so there may be time yet to turn around any sour feelings in Atlanta. But there are a handful of stars who may have played – or are about to play – their last game for their current franchise.

For a franchise to trade a star player, things have to be completely unfixable. Additionally, the price being offered has to be right, since fans are going to obliterate a front office that makes a mistake when trading away a top-tier player.

These are some stars who could get dealt during the summer.
