Giannis Antetokounmpo, Forward, Milwaukee Bucks

It seems everyone in the national media and print media has become fatigued of Antetokounmpo’s greatness once again as he’s putting up the best offensive stat line of his career across the board with a career-high in points (31.1)  and rebounds (11.8), both ranking top five in the league.

His defensive averages and efficiency are down a tad this season, but he rates as the highest usage rate player in the league with a 38.7 usage % according to Basketball Reference. Giannis ranks third in PER (Player Efficiency Rating) and fifth in Box +/- being a +8.5 when he’s on the court.

The Bucks clinched the best record in the East and overall in the league this season, currently at 58-23 as of April 9, as they will have homecourt advantage throughout the whole postseason as they look to make a potential run to their second title in three seasons.

Antetokounmpo sitting out games throughout the season due to resting a nagging knee issue he’s been dealing with the last few seasons may have cost him a potential third MVP with Jokic and Embiid both playing out of their minds this season, but with his production and the Bucks having the best record in the entire NBA should make a compelling case for the Freak from Greece.
