NBA Playoffs: Sacramento Kings: Los Angeles Clippers

The Kings have Sacramento cheering “Light the beam”, but another California team may put those chants to an end. The Clippers have the wing scoring and versatility to expose the Kings’ lack of those skills and also have the upper hand in terms of veteran experience.

As the game slows down in the playoffs, the Kings’ fast-paced offense might not thrive as much in the postseason, especially when going up against elite defensive players like Kawhi Leonard and Paul George if they are healthy.

George and Leonard won’t just cause problems on the defensive end, though. As good as Domantas Sabonis is on offense, he struggles on defense, and those struggles will be amplified against two of the league’s best scorers when he gets switched on to them, something Los Angeles will make sure happens.

The Kings’ season will go down as a success regardless of how the playoffs play out, but the Clippers must go far, or else having two of the best wings in the league will have won them nothing throughout four years. Therefore, the cards are all stacked in Los Angeles’s favor, as they should and need to win this series more than Sacramento.
