The top-five NBA players under 25: Who will replace Jayson Tatum?
4. Anthony Edwards, Guard, Minnesota Timberwolves
After an electrifying playoff debut showing last year against Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies, many Timberwolves and NBA fans were ecstatic to see what the high-flying, non-apologetic Minnesota Timberwolves’ young star guard Anthony Edwards had in store for his third season.
His co-star Karl-Anthony Towns being out most of the season after suffering a non-contact calf injury in November has increased the scoring and playmaking load for the confident Wolves star, and he has not disappointed. As of March 10, Edwards has improved his production across the board in his third year, averaging 24.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.7 steals per game, doing it on both ends of the floor.
The audacious Edwards is just scratching the surface of his enormous potential due to his powerful chiseled frame at 6’4 and 225 lbs. while also possessing dynamite athleticism that will make Vince Carter proud.
Edwards is only 21 years old and is only beginning to write his story as one of the future faces of the association.
