Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo has missed the team’s last three games with a wrist injury and may be nearing a return. The Bucks were without Antetokounmpo against the defending champion Golden State Warriors and nearly pulled off an upset road win without their best player.

They came up short in overtime, though Milwaukee still has the best record in the NBA at the moment. Even then, if they want to keep the top seed and have home-court advantage throughout the playoffs, they will need Antetokounmpo back sooner rather than later. That being said, when will Antetokounmpo return?

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s injury status for the Bucks at Sacramento Kings on March 13th

Currently, Antetokounmpo is listed as questionable for tonight’s game against the Kings. However, according to Marc Spears, he will try to play tonight. Of course, that decision may not be solely up to him, so it stil appears to be a toss-up at the moment.

Update: Antetokounmpo will indeed suit up and play against the Sacramento Kings.

When will Antetokounmpo play?

If Antetokounmpo does sit, it is likely to buy him a little more time for his ailing wrist to recover. He is listed as questionable for tonight’s game but that hopefully means that he is nearing a return and could do so on Tuesday against the Phoenix Suns.

That does make sense; after all, while he has only missed three games, the team might not want him to play back-to-back games and risk reinjuring his wrist. Therefore, if Antetokounmpo doesn’t play against the Kings, he could very well play against the Suns the following night.

Milwaukee Bucks’ full injury report

Aside from Giannis Antetokounmpo, Wesley Mathews, who is listed as probable following a calf injury, appears on the injury report. Otherwise, the Milwaukee Bucks should be healthy when they play the Kings.

Milwaukee Bucks’ next five opponents

The Bucks have fewer than 20 games remaining on their schedule, and their next five games are each winnable as they look to secure the No. 1 seed in the East. Currently, only one of their next five opponents is over .500, and the Suns will be without superstar Kevin Durant, though the Bucks may be without theirs too. Here are the Bucks’ next five games:
