3 Potential trade deadline outcomes for the New York Knicks
By Ari Schwartz
What’s The Move?
If the Raptors make Anunoby available, the Knicks should absolutely go for it, but I would draw a line if Toronto asked for any more than three first-round picks, or one of Immanuel Quickley or Quentin Grimes. Otherwise, New York would land a good young player with room to grow without depleting their draft capital or young core.
If Anunoby isn’t on the table, then a minor upgrade should be the move instead. Quality over quantity is what the Knicks should be looking for, so adding to their collection of second-round picks in a Reddish deal isn’t necessary.
Despite what some might say, the Knicks are in a pretty good position with more draft picks and young players than most teams in the league. The time is coming when they must capitalize on this and make decisions that will determine the franchise’s trajectory moving forward. So good luck, Leon Rose.
