NBA: Donovan Mitchell, Cleveland Cavaliers Guard

Most were expecting to see Irving here or maybe even Harden or Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young, but in all honesty, Mitchell deserves to have a starting spot in the East with the Cavaliers as a top-four seed and having ridiculous performances this season, such as a career-high and NBA season-high 71 points in a game!

Mitchell is averaging career highs in points (29.6), field goal percentage (49%), and three-point percentage (40%). He’s seventh in the league in scoring and has been the go-to scorer and closing option that the Cavaliers have needed to help take them to a new level. He attributed 5.8 win shares to the Cavaliers while having a Player Efficiency Rating of 24.2.

He and his backcourt mate, Darius Garland, have formed a dynamic duo in which their games both positively complement one another.
